What is a blank?

A blank is the part of the pen that isn’t metal. It’s usually made of acrylic (plastic) or wood. Occasionally it’s made of other things like deer antler or cholla cactus.

 

What is a kit?

It is NOT just something we buy and put together. A kit is the part of the pen that is metal. This is what we buy from our supplier. Then we turn a blank for it and assemble it. 

 

Who thinks up the names for your products?

In the past we’ve used the names our suppliers gave the kits we get. We’re moving away from that however and are trying to make new names ourselves.

 

So are your pens handmade?

Yes, we buy all the pieces that go into our pens. (This doesn’t apply to custom blanks.) But we still have to cut, drill, turn, finish, and assemble the pen. Between the turning and pairing the kits and blanks there is a lot that we put our personal touch on.

 

What refill does my pen take?

You’ll find refill information on each pen’s description page, both the regular and custom listings. If it’s a pen we don’t make anymore, contact us and we’ll let you know.

 

Where can I buy from you in person?

If you prefer an in person purchase, you can find us by looking on our Schedule of Shows page.

If you find a product you would like to buy in person then get in touch with us and let us know so we can put a temporary hold on an item for you.

 

Do you do sales?

Yes we do! If you hang around long enough you’ll figure out when they are. Keep in mind, however, that we only offer our deepest discounts to our email family.

 

Do you do free shipping?

Well, first off, there’s no such thing as “free” shipping. It costs something to someone.

To best serve our customers, we don’t offer free shipping. This allows you, the customer, to better see the true cost of your item and to have better control over what kind of shipping we use.

 

How soon will you ship my stuff?

We try to ship things out within a week.

 

If an item is on backorder, how soon will I get it?

We try to get products shipped out as soon as possible. A backordered product, however will take 2 weeks longer to ship out.

 

 

What company do you use to ship?

We primarily use UPS, but we will use whatever will get the best deal without sacrificing service.

 

I can’t pay for what I want all at once. Do you offer payment plans or layaway?

Yes! Just tell us what you want and we’ll set up a layaway or payment plan (whichever you want to call it) for you. You’ll be able to pay over time for your item. Once you’ve paid the full amount, we’ll arrange to get it to you.

To start you’ll need a deposit of 10% of the product cost. This cost factors in any discounts or coupon codes you wish to use.

 

Can I return my product?

We stand behind our products, so contact us if you aren’t satisfied. We’ll work things out from there.

We will accept returns (you pay shipping) but we won’t refund the money until we receive the returned product.

 

Do you do custom orders?

All custom orders require a deposit of 50% of the estimated cost. There is absolutely no wiggle room on this policy.

Exception: Custom orders that are variations of products already in the store. For these orders, please use our custom order product listings.

Do you have pets or smoke?

We have one cat and no, we don’t smoke anything but meat.

 

Are you interested in wholesaling?

We’re open to wholesaling our products and will offer a wholesale discount. Contact us if you’re interested!
